A top price for Jan Wiegers
In June 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Dutch Music Hall by Jan Wiegers. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 216,750.00 45% above the upper estimate. With this result, Dutch Music Hall is even the most expensive work of art by Jan Wiegers that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch Music Hall von Jan Wiegers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 216.750,00 und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Dutch Music Hall sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jan Wiegers, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
