Admittedly, works by Jan Vermeulen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vanitas Still Life: Skull With An Ivy Wreath, A Crown, Money Bags, An Hourglass And A Book Of Sheet Music, Pearls And Other Objects On A Stone Plinth in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 98,500.00 (€ 75,311.57).

Die Arbeit Vanitas still life with an hour glass, books, a globe, flutes and a lute on a draped table von Jan Vermeulen kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 18.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Vermeulen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vanitas Still Life: Skull With An Ivy Wreath, A Crown, Money Bags, An Hourglass And A Book Of Sheet Music, Pearls And Other Objects On A Stone Plinth im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 75.311,57).
