In April 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & British Paintings, which included the work Shipping In Calm Waters With Fishermen Pulling In A Boat by Jan van Os. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,587.97), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Os achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pink and yellow roses, peonies, an iris, tulips, primulas, hyacinths, a poppy, a coxcomb, fritillaries and other flowers in a sculpted urn with a bird's nest on a marble ledge in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 369,650.00 (€ 589,606.09).

Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pink and yellow roses, peonies, an iris, tulips, primulas, hyacinths, a poppy, a coxcomb, fritillaries and other flowers in a sculpted urn with a bird's nest on a marble ledge im Juli 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 369.650,00 (€ 589.606,09).
