In July 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Grapes, peaches, hazelnuts, quinces, redcurrants and other fruit, with a brimstone butterfly, a bumblebee and other insects on a stone capital by Jan van Kessel. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 70,948.94). Admittedly, works by Jan van Kessel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, Morning-Glory, A Carnation, An Iris And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, With A Red Admiral, Caterpillars, Dragonflies And Other Insects In A Sculpted Niche; And Roses, An Iris, A Carnation, A Tulip And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase, Wit in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 695,8

Im Juli 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grapes, peaches, hazelnuts, quinces, redcurrants and other fruit, with a brimstone butterfly, a bumblebee and other insects on a stone capital von Jan van Kessel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 70.948,94) einen neuen Besitzer.
