Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Still Life With Game, Hunting Gear And Two Dogs by Jan van Kessel was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in October 2011. The price achieved of GBP 7,250.00 (€ 8,390.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Kessel achieve.
