Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arcadian Landscape With The Rest On The Flght Into Egypt by Jan van Huysum was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2009. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,738.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Huysum achieve.
