A top price for Jan van der Meer the Younger - as previously expected
The work Shepherds Resting With Their Flock At The Edge Of A Wood by Jan van der Meer the Younger was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2011. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,233.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Shepherds Resting With Their Flock At The Edge Of A Wood is the most expensive artwork by Jan van der Meer the Younger that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Shepherds Resting With Their Flock At The Edge Of A Wood von Jan van der Meer the Younger wurde im Dezember 2011 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
