Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work A Oval Vanitas Still Life, Within An Elaborate Drawn Frame by Jan Thopas. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,552.47). Other works by Jan Thopas have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,882.46) in July 2012 for the work Portrait Of Godert Dircksz. Kerckrinck (1577-1645).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Oval Vanitas Still Life, Within An Elaborate Drawn Frame von Jan Thopas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.552,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Thopas haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.882,46) im Juli 2012 für die Arbeit Portrait Of Godert Dircksz. Kerckrinck (1577-1645) beobachtet.
