Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Štursa could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Hascoe Family Collection: Important Czech Art auction, the work Czech seated Nude (Sedící Akt) changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 276.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Štursa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech messalina in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,423.64).
