Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work Boats in a harbour by Jan Stekelenburg. The price achieved of EUR 1,062.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Stekelenburg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stilleven - Still life in June 2002 with an auction result of EUR 5,377.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats in a harbour von Jan Stekelenburg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.062,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Stekelenburg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stilleven - Still life im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.377,50.
