Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sitting and standing female nudes by Jan Sluijters was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2016. The price achieved of EUR 25,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Sluijters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maannacht III in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 421,000.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Sluijters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maannacht III im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 421.000,00.
