Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Portrait of a donor, half-length, in a fur trimmed robe, in a landscape by Jan Provost. The price achieved of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,314.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Provost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Annunciation in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,637,000.00 (€ 2,694,074.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a donor, half-length, in a fur trimmed robe, in a landscape von Jan Provost zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.314,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Provost erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Annunciation im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.637.000,00 (€ 2.694.074,07).
