In June last year Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work The Adoration Of The Magi With Tobias And The Angel by Jan Provost. The »bidding war« ended at USD 239,400.00 (€ 228,675.14), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Provost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Annunciation in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,637,000.00 (€ 2,694,074.07).

Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Magi With Tobias And The Angel von Jan Provost zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 239.400,00 (€ 228.675,14) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Provost erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Annunciation im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.637.000,00 (€ 2.694.074,07).
