Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The little soldier by Jan Portielje. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,790.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Portielje achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Moment by the Fire in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 52,875.00 (€ 62,536.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The little soldier von Jan Portielje zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.790,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Portielje erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Moment by the Fire im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.875,00 (€ 62.536,96).
