Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Young Beauty by Jan Portielje was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Portielje achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Moment by the Fire in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 52,875.00 (€ 62,536.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Young Beauty von Jan Portielje kam im November 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Portielje erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Moment by the Fire im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.875,00 (€ 62.536,96).
