In the AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work Vessels On A Dutch Canal sold for GBP 179.25 (€ 257.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Knikker Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A panoramic landscape with cows along a river in February 2004 with an auction result of EUR 2,629.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Knikker Sen. erzielte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES wurde die Arbeit Vessels On A Dutch Canal für GBP 179,25 (€ 257,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Knikker Sen. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A panoramic landscape with cows along a river im Februar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.629,00.
