Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A Windmill In A Polder Landscape by Jan Knikker Sen.. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,440.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Jan Knikker Sen. have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2004 the work A panoramic landscape with cows along a river was auctioned for EUR 2,629.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Windmill In A Polder Landscape von Jan Knikker Sen. zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.440,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Knikker Sen. konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2004 die Arbeit A panoramic landscape with cows along a river für EUR 2.629,00 versteigert.
