Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Gezicht op Buren (?) by Jan Knikker Sen. for NLG 1,170.20 (€ 539.35). This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of NLG 1,200.00 – 1,600.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jan Knikker Sen. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A panoramic landscape with cows along a river in February 2004 with an auction result of EUR 2,629.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gezicht op Buren (?) von Jan Knikker Sen. für NLG 1.170,20 (€ 539,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 1.200,00 – 1.600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Knikker Sen. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A panoramic landscape with cows along a river im Februar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.629,00.
