Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Jordens could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work A Landscape changed hands for NLG 1,762.50 (€ 847.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Jordens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Compositie in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Jordens konnte im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wechselte die Arbeit A Landscape für NLG 1.762,50 (€ 847,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Jordens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Compositie im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.000,00.
