It achieved a price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,098.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Jansz. de Stomme - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a girl, full-length, in a blue and black dress with gold trimming, with white lace collar and sleeves, holding an ostrich feather fan, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,759.39).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl in a red dress with her dog in a landscape von Jan Jansz. de Stomme kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.098,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Jansz. de Stomme mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a girl, full-length, in a blue and black dress with gold trimming, with white lace collar and sleeves, holding an ostrich feather fan beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.759,39) versteigert wurde.
