Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Dutch town, said to be Utrecht, showing buildings along a canal by Jan Hendrik Verheijen was sold in the European Noble and Private Collections auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2009. The price achieved of EUR 812.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Hendrik Verheijen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch a Lively Townscene, Utrecht in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 96,750.00.

Die Arbeit A Dutch town, said to be Utrecht, showing buildings along a canal von Jan Hendrik Verheijen wurde im Dezember 2009 in der Auktion European Noble and Private Collections bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 812,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Hendrik Verheijen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch a Lively Townscene, Utrecht im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 96.750,00.
