Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work On the dunes by Jan Verhas. The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,510.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Verhas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hide and Seek in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 57,360.00 (€ 58,050.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the dunes von Jan Verhas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.510,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Verhas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hide and Seek im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.360,00 (€ 58.050,80).
