Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work By the seaside by Jan Verhas. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,558.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Verhas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hide and Seek in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 57,360.00 (€ 58,050.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit By the seaside von Jan Verhas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.558,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Verhas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hide and Seek im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.360,00 (€ 58.050,80).
