Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Italianate Landscape With Three Figures In The Foreground, Hilltop Villages And A Church Beyond by Jan Frans van Bloemen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 7,750.00 (€ 8,825.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Frans van Bloemen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Scene In The Roman Campagna With A Capriccio View Of Tivoli And A Bolt Of Lightning in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 274,000.00 (€ 252,954.21).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Scene In The Roman Campagna With A Capriccio View Of Tivoli And A Bolt Of Lightning im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 274.000,00 (€ 252.954,21).
