Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Eversen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Still Life With Oysters, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 24,250.00.

Die Arbeit Still life with cherries and peaches von Jan Eversen wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Eversen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Still Life With Oysters beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 24.250,00 versteigert wurde.
