Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Drawings, which included the work Sixteen Sheets With Studies Of Horses by Jan de Bisschop. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,923.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan de Bisschop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of René Descartes, Bust-Length And Leaning On A Ledge, In A Fictive Arch, which sold at auction in July 2001 for GBP 12,925.00 (€ 21,047.43).

Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sixteen Sheets With Studies Of Horses von Jan de Bisschop zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.923,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
