The work A view of the Grimburgwal with the Oudezijds Herenlogement, the gate of the Binnengasthuis beyond, Amsterdam by Jan de Beijer was sold in the Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 auction at Christies in London in December 2018. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,228.18) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan de Beijer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amsterdam, The Nieuwe Kerk And The Back Of The Town Hall (Royal Palace) Seen From The Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,636.60).
