Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jan Cremer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2011. In the The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two auction, the work Tulip Gemini sold for EUR 19,950.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Cremer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sterrensneeuw, which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 54,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Cremer erzielte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two wurde die Arbeit Tulip Gemini für EUR 19.950,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Cremer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sterrensneeuw beobachtet, die im November 2005 für EUR 54.000,00 versteigert wurde.
