Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Jan Cremer (b. 1940) by Jan Cremer was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 16,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 9,375.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Cremer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sterrensneeuw in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 54,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Jan Cremer (b. 1940) von Jan Cremer im November 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 9.375,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Cremer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sterrensneeuw im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 54.000,00.
