Auction result misses estimated price range

In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Early morning on the Thames, London changed hands for EUR 2,987.50 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Cossaar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sneeuwpret na schooltijd - Playing in the snow after school in September 2000 with an auction result of NLG 52,659.00 (€ 24,270.69).
