Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,346.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Cossaar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sneeuwpret na schooltijd - Playing in the snow after school in September 2000 with an auction result of NLG 52,659.00 (€ 24,270.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A view of St. Paul's Cathedral, London von Jan Cossaar kam im Juni 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.346,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
