Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A busy morning in London by Jan Cossaar. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,585.00 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Cossaar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sneeuwpret na schooltijd - Playing in the snow after school in September 2000 with an auction result of NLG 52,659.00 (€ 24,270.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A busy morning in London von Jan Cossaar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.585,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Cossaar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sneeuwpret na schooltijd - Playing in the snow after school im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 52.659,00 (€ 24.270,69).
