The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,915.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Baptist van Fornenburgh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Still Life Of Tulips, Lilies, Moss Roses, An Iris And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase In A Marble Niche, With Butterflies And A Lizard in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 103,250.00 (€ 117,157.80).
