In September 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Mixed company smoking and drinking in an interior by Jan Baptist Lambrechts. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Baptist Lambrechts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A family hunting group outside a Neoclassical mansion in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 8,365.00 (€ 12,039.54).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mixed company smoking and drinking in an interior von Jan Baptist Lambrechts zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Baptist Lambrechts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A family hunting group outside a Neoclassical mansion im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.365,00 (€ 12.039,54).
