Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Baptist Lambrechts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A family hunting group outside a Neoclassical mansion, which sold at auction in October 2004 for GBP 8,365.00 (€ 12,039.54).
