The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection auction, the work Resting cattle by a stream changed hands for GBP 2,142.00 (€ 2,516.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,400.00 – 3,400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Baptist Kobell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherd Resting In A Cowshed, While His Flock Look On in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 34,922.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
