Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Baptist Kobell could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection auction, the work Herdsman with cows changed hands for GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,184.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Baptist Kobell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherd Resting In A Cowshed, While His Flock Look On in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 34,922.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Baptist Kobell konnte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection wechselte die Arbeit Herdsman with cows für GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.184,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Baptist Kobell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Shepherd Resting In A Cowshed, While His Flock Look On im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 34.922,30).
