Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Belgian a Celebration by Jan Baptist Huysmans was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2013. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 43,843.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Baptist Huysmans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Un nuage en plein soleil: A plume of smoke in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 276,018.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Belgian a Celebration von Jan Baptist Huysmans kam im Mai 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 43.843,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Baptist Huysmans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Un nuage en plein soleil: A plume of smoke im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 276.018,57).
