Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction A Moroccan Spring, which included the work Après La Danse by Jan Baptist Huysmans. It changed hands for a price of MAD 85,280.00 (€ 8,503.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of MAD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Baptist Huysmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Un nuage en plein soleil: A plume of smoke in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 276,018.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion A Moroccan Spring durch, in der auch die Arbeit Après La Danse von Jan Baptist Huysmans zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von MAD 85.280,00 (€ 8.503,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von MAD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Baptist Huysmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Un nuage en plein soleil: A plume of smoke im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 276.018,57).
