Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II, which included the work Flowers In A Sculpted Urn In A Landscape by Jan Baptist Bosschaert. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,607.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Baptist Bosschaert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Elaborate Sculpted Urns Decorated With Carnations, Parrot Tulips, Irises, Morning Glory And Other Flowers in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 107,725.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers In A Sculpted Urn In A Landscape von Jan Baptist Bosschaert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.607,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Baptist Bosschaert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Elaborate Sculpted Urns Decorated With Carnations, Parrot Tulips, Irises, Morning Glory And Other Flowers im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.500,00 (€ 107.725,56).
