Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Roses, tulips and other flowers in a sculpted urn with putti in relief, on a ledge by Jan Baptist Bosschaert. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,607.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Baptist Bosschaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Elaborate Sculpted Urns Decorated With Carnations, Parrot Tulips, Irises, Morning Glory And Other Flowers in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 107,725.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses, tulips and other flowers in a sculpted urn with putti in relief, on a ledge von Jan Baptist Bosschaert zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.607,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Baptist Bosschaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pair Of Still Lifes Of Elaborate Sculpted Urns Decorated With Carnations, Parrot Tulips, Irises, Morning Glory And Other Flowers im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.500,00 (€ 107.725,56).
