The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,152.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Asselijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 775,617.30).

Die Arbeit Mountainous Landscape von Jan Asselijn wurde im Januar 2012 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.152,69) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Asselijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 602.500,00 (€ 775.617,30).
