Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Mountainous Landscape by Jan Asselijn was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2012. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,152.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Asselijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 775,617.30).
