Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jan Asselijn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2019. In the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work A Military Skirmish In A Wooded Landscape sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,423.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Asselijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 775,617.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Asselijn erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit A Military Skirmish In A Wooded Landscape für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.423,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Asselijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 602.500,00 (€ 775.617,30).
