Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Gentleman With A Grey Horse In A Cavernous Landscape by Jan Asselijn was sold in the Old Masters auction at Sothebys in London in May 2019. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,767.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Asselijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 775,617.30).

Die Arbeit A Gentleman With A Grey Horse In A Cavernous Landscape von Jan Asselijn wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 53.767,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Asselijn erzielen.
