Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work An Italianate Landscape With Peasants And Animals Fording A River by Jan Asselijn. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Asselijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 775,617.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Italianate Landscape With Peasants And Animals Fording A River von Jan Asselijn zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 37.343,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Asselijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 602.500,00 (€ 775.617,30).
