Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Rocky River Landscape With Travellers In The Foreground And Ships Beyond by Jan Asselijn was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2012. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,737.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Asselijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 775,617.30).

Die Arbeit A Rocky River Landscape With Travellers In The Foreground And Ships Beyond von Jan Asselijn wurde im Juli 2012 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.737,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Asselijn erzielen.
