Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Asselijn could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work A Cavalier On Horseback Before A Landscape changed hands for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,584.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Asselijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Breach Of The Sint Anthonisdijk On The Night Of 5–6 March 1651 in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 775,617.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Asselijn konnte im Februar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni wechselte die Arbeit A Cavalier On Horseback Before A Landscape für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.584,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Asselijn erzielen.
