Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Portrait Of A Young Golfer sold for GBP 387,000.00 (€ 457,388.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black coat and lace collar; and Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black dress with gold trim and a lace collar and headdress sold at auction in April 2007 with the realized price of USD 712,000.00 (€ 521,229.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Golfer für GBP 387.000,00 (€ 457.388,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00.
