Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a gentleman, traditionally identified as by Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in April 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,666.21). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black coat and lace collar; and Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black dress with gold trim and a lace collar and headdress in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 712,000.00 (€ 521,229.87).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black coat and lace collar; and Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black dress with gold trim and a lace collar and headdress im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 712.000,00 (€ 521.229,87).
