Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman Wearing A Black And Gold Embroidered Doublet And A White Ruff by Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,780.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black coat and lace collar; and Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black dress with gold trim and a lace collar and headdress in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 712,000.00 (€ 521,229.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman Wearing A Black And Gold Embroidered Doublet And A White Ruff von Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black coat and lace collar; and Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a black dress with gold trim and a lace collar and headdress im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 712.000,00 (€ 521.229,87).
